Kanafay is a freelance web development business operated by Raymond Wong, based in Hong Kong.
2. Services Provided
We provide website design, development, redesign, and ongoing IT support services to small and medium-sized businesses, social enterprises, and professionals in Hong Kong.
Specific deliverables, timelines, and pricing for each project are agreed upon separately between you and us before work begins.
3. Payment Terms
For website projects, payment is due upon delivery of the completed website. You will not be charged before you are satisfied with the design and the final product is delivered.
For ongoing services (hosting, maintenance, IT support), payment is due monthly in advance.
All prices are quoted in the agreed currency and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
4. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and timely content, images, and information needed for the project
- Respond to communications in a reasonable timeframe to avoid project delays
- Ensure you have the right to use any content, images, or materials you provide to us
- Pay invoices by the due date
5. Intellectual Property
Upon full payment, you own the code, design, and content created specifically for your project. You are free to take your website to any other developer or hosting provider at any time.
We retain the right to display your website in our portfolio and use it as a reference for future clients, unless you explicitly request otherwise in writing.
6. No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that your website will achieve any specific search engine ranking, traffic volume, or business results.
We are not responsible for downtime caused by third-party hosting providers, domain registrars, or internet service providers.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business interruption.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate the service relationship with written notice. Upon termination, you are responsible for payment of work completed up to the termination date. We will deliver all completed work for which payment has been received.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
